Llama's are members of the camalid family. They may not have a hump, but they do have soft padded feet like camels do. Llama's have been domesticated for thousands of years, and come from South America. Llama's are strong animals and can endure tough conditions, they can grow to six feet in height (Head to ground). Phew, very tall! Llama's are pregnant for 11 1/2 months and have a life span of 20 – 30 years. So if you adopt one, be sure you are in for the long run.
They are also soft, gentle and have the loveliest eyes and the longest ears you have ever seen.
